Desarrollador Front-end (react.js)

Core responsibility

build beautiful, seamless web applications

Core tasks

• help us migrate our remaining JSP-based web tools to a React.JS, Webpack and some low-level integrations stack

• working with the CTO and the Engineering team and Design teams, help build the next generation of features for our service

• create a clean, maintainable and testable code, following the industry best practices and a continuous improvement attitude

Skills / Experience we would expect to see:                                        

• Comfortable and confident working with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS and React, to build interfaces that pass accessibility requirements and work faultlessly on different browsers and operating systems

• Have experience creating modern, efficient and component-based applications using React and Webpack, as well as having an open mind to realize there’s a whole world beyond Redux

• Familiar with REST APIs, Git, Docker and/or AWS

• Worked with Agile methodologies or, otherwise, being fed up with waterfall and keen on trying something else

• Knowledge and opinions about systems and how best to do things - we’re looking for a balance of ‘been there before’ and ‘oooh, would like to get stuck in and learn how to do that’

Te desenvuelves con discusiones técnicas en inglés y en español. Aunque la empresa es británica, estamos buscando a un hispanoparlante que viva en España (o cerca en avión) para poder integrarse en un equipo de Ingeniería compuesto por españoles y que se suele reunir varias veces al año en alguna de nuestras ciudades. No es necesario ser bilingüe ni tener acento de Cambridge, pero sí necesitamos que puedas entender documentación en inglés, explicarte por escrito razonablemente e, idealmente, poder meterte en una videoconferencia con nuestros compañeros del Reino Unido o EE.UU. Si tu nivel de inglés hablado no está todavía en ese punto, pero estás dispuesto a aprender y mejorar con nosotros, te podemos ayudar a costearte clases de inglés y no te faltarán ocasiones de practicar :)
