The London Python Group - TLPG - Using Plotly to analyse data, share the results and collaborate on the web

Tuesday 2 September 2014, 19:30 - 20:30

116-120 Goswell Road, London, Reino Unido

Dear pythonistas, for our next meetup Matthew Sundquist will kindly introduce Plotly (https://plot.ly) a startup supporting collaborative graphing and data analysis. Clouds aren't just in the London sky, they're now providing useful services on the internet too. As you might remember few previous talks (Mokocharlie, Twilio etc.) gave us an insight of this part of the web and how we can make use of it in a productive way. Plotly lets you make and share online graphs using Python, MATLAB, R, Excel, Julia, and our web app. All of Plotly is interoperable, meaning you can write to the same plot from any language, and edit your plots with or without code. Right out of the box, the plots are interactive, web-based, and editable with a GUI. Plotly also lets you live-stream data and make 3D graphs. Like GitHub, Plotly is free, web-based, and you own your data and control your privacy.

The event will be hosted at skillsmatter so please register: https://www.skillsmatter.com/meetups/6521-a-talk-by-matthew-sundquist-on-plot-ly
