The London Python Group - TLPG - Stupid (*) Python Tricks (* Not actually stupid) and Argparse for dummies

Wednesday 19 November 2014, 19:30 - 20:30

116-120 Goswell Road, London, Reino Unido

Dear Pythonistas, For our next meetup we're going to present two talks about our python language, one providing insight about effective everyday tricks and another about a core python library.

Skillsmatter is kindly hosting the event so please register at: https://www.skillsmatter.com/meetups/6726-python-user-group-november-meetup

The talks kindly provided by the respective authors are:

Burkhard Kloss "Stupid (*) Python Tricks (* Not actually stupid)" A brief talk exploring parts of the collections module, and some strange (and occasionally useful) things you can do with it. Looking mainly at defaultdicts, named tuples, and why it is really useful to have immutable dictionaries in Python. Antonio Cavallo "Argparse for dummies" Argparse is the 2.7 standard python library for parsing command line arguments. Here we'll show its usage and the most peculiar features.
