This hackathon is a chance for Python developers to come together, brainstorm and build (or at least lay the foundation for) new or better tools that can help make software development in Python more powerful, productive and enjoyable. Python is one of the most popular back-end programming languages of choice among start-ups. While being extremely well designed and powerful, it does have a few rough edges and is lagging behind some of the other modern alternatives in some respects. This event aims to have a measurable impact on the entire Python ecosystem by encouraging innovation, critical thinking and taking action towards the design and development of better and more powerful Python tools. Developers can participate individually or in teams (either existing, or formed ad-hoc). Each team will present their idea and the best tools with the highest perceived impact will receive awards / incentives and publicity.
