When using MongoDB in a large project like SocialBro, we learnt the hard way that most of the time, you blame MongoDB for things you should have planned/designed better. We'll review some of the pitfalls we faced on model and architecture design that have a direct impact on performance, and give some tips, based on our experience, on how to avoid them and how to start blaming yourself and not MongoDB
