require('lx') - The JavaScript meetup in Lisbon - Holidays.js

Thursday 13 December 2018, 19:45 - 20:45

Rua Camilo Castelo Branco 44, Lisbon, Portugal

Here's the December edition of require('lx')! We've got a great talk in store for you, followed by discussion time + networking. Talk"Semantic HTML and Accessibility", by Nuno Neves (@nunoancruz) Description"HTML has been around for more than 20 years and since then it has been enhanced with tools to make the web consumable by both humans and machines. However, people out there, on the web, tend to do some pretty strange things with HTML, making it difficult to be accessible by screen readers, for example. In this talk, I’ll introduce the concept of Semantic HTML and Accessibility and explain why it is important to have an accessible website. Throughout the presentation, I'll also show you real-life examples of websites that have good and bad support for accessibility." The meetup will be hosted by Feedzai at their offices in Marquês de Pombal. As always, there will be plenty of snacks and beer! Please, confirm your attendance, and feel free to bring along a colleague or fellow JavaScript geek! Hope to see you there!
