PyLadies BCN - Python & NLP. Introduction to spaCy with Jupyter notebooks

In this workshop we are going to discover spaCy (https://spacy.io), an Industrial-Strength Natural Language Processing library in Python. We will offer an overview of basic NLP, a (brief) introduction to Jupyter Notebooks and an introduction to spaCy through examples, followed by some hands-on exercises. What to bring: - This is a hands on workshop, so you will need your own laptop. Requirements (python libraries): - Python 3- Jupyter Notebook- spacy- scipy- spaCy English models- python -m spacy download en- python -m spacy download en_core_web_sm Please install all the libraries and models at home, and let us know if you have any problems so we are all ready the workshop day :) Speaker: Laura Pérez-MayosLevel: Beginner/IntermediateLanguage: English The meetup will be hosted by Holaluz, who will gently provide some snacks to help socialising after the workshop :)------------------------------------ • Access Control (IMPORTANT!)
