Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 585, Barcelona, España
Hi everybody! Next Tuesday PyLadiesBcn will host a workshop in Multiprocessing versus threading in a single workstation in Python 2.x In this session, we will discuss parallelization strategies. We will first cover typical computational problems that can be optimised through parallelization. Then we will cover general concepts and the important aspects to consider when designing your parallelization. In particular, we will look at parallelization in Python 2.x. and in a single machine using either processes or threads. Level: BeginnerLanguage: English (but questions can be in Catalan/Spanish) The meetup will be hosted by UB in room B7 ------------------------------------ • Access Control (IMPORTANT!) The security access control requires an attendee list. Provide your full name (first name and surname) in your profile, otherwise you will be removed from the list. • What to bringThis is a hands on workshop, so you will need a laptop. Ideally, you'll have Python already installed, but we can help you on the workshop day if you don't know how to do it. • Please remember our attendance policy: https://www.meetup.com/PyLadies-BCN/messages/81834174/.
