Join the Media Party, the biggest productive gathering in Latin America where entrepreneurship, open data, open software and open knowledge gets together to accelerate media innovation. The Media Party is a three days event (22–24th of August in Buenos Aires, Argentina), that brings together 2500 entrepreneurs, journalists, software programmers and designers from five Continents to work together for the future of media. This year the event will merge big companies like New York Times, The Guardian, Vox, Google, Facebook, plus regional communities of the biggest network of journalists and developers in the world like Mozilla and Open News. Among the 250 speakers of previous six year, Media Party hosted Andrew Losowski from Coral Project, Greg Barber from Washington Post, Aron Pilhofer, creator of The New York Times interactive team, founder of Hacks/Hackers and former leader of the interactive team at The Guardian, Lauren Rabaino, Tei Brundrett and Melissa Bell from Vox Media, Mar Cabra from International Consortium of Investigative Journalists and William Lyon from Neo4J; Dan Sinker, Knight-Mozilla Open News Director; among other Open News Fellows working at The New York Times, FrontLine, CorrecTv and NPR. Also, entrepreneurs from Rusia, Qatar and China. This year, during the three days participants will be able to attend more than 20 keynotes led by global experts; they will be trained by the best mentors with tools and methodologies in the field of data journalism, revenue, metrics and engagement, with more than 100 hours of workshops. As usual, Media Party will have a showcase scene at the Media Fair, the best innovative show and tell space for 70 world class initiatives in the media landscape and finally, participants will be embedded at the largest media innovation hackathon in Latin America. The conference has an impact in different fields: journalists, developers, designers and hackers activists will be trained by the brightest minds in the world, embedded in a culture of collaboration, openness, learning by doing and impact in tech and skills adoption. Brands and products will have access to impactful game changers, getting attention from the market, senior media decisions makers with a huge press coverage. Entre los 250 oradores de las pasadas 6 conferencias, Media Party tuvo como participantes destacados a Trei Brundrett y Melissa Bell de Vox Media, Mar Cabra del Consorcio Internacional de Periodistas de Investigación y William Lyon from Neo4J; Aron Pilhofer de New York Times; Andrew Losowski del proyecto Coral (The New York Times / Washington Post); Pierre Romera de Journalism ++; Pietro Passarelli, Open Noticias Fellow; Douglas Arellanes, Sourcefabric; entre otros fellows y participantes de Rusia, China, Qatar. Durante tres días los participantes podrán asistir a más de 20 ponencias a cargo de expertos globales; serán entrenados por los mejores mentores en nuevas herramientas y metodologías en el campo del periodismo de datos, la monetización, las métricas y participación, con más de 100 horas de workshops. Como de costumbre, la Media Party tendrán una Feria para mostrar 70 proyectos innovadores. Por último, los participantes podrán participar del hackatón de innovación en medios más grande de América Latina.
