We are pleased to present the March meetup, with two talks from two excellent speakers: Tobias Wellnitz (https://github.com/dh1tw) and Javier Fontan (https://github.com/jfontan). After the talks, we will have some Pizzas+Beer as usually sponsored by source{d} • "Improving performance of go-git" by Javi Fontán go-git is a 100% Go library used to interact with git repositories. Even if it already supports most of the functionality it still lags a bit in performance when compared with the git CLI or some other libraries. I'll explain some of the problems that we face when dealing with git repos and examples of performance improvements done to the library. • "When IoT meets Microservices" by Tobias Wellnitz As part of an ongoing effort to automate and remote control my Amateur radio station, I needed an application to turn my antennas. In this talk, I will share the experience I made while developing "remoteRotator" in Go. I will talk about the importance of interfaces, testing, the pitfalls I felt into and how I tried to master the USB / Serial port, mDNS, websockets and the go-micro framework.
