In this fifth edition of Forward we're collaborating with Madrid Devops to talk about learnings from scaling ops. *Talk: DevOps is not what you think*Eduardo Ferro, VP of Engineering at Nextail, will talk us about the philosophy behind DevOps. About DevOps not being a role, on the culture (collaboration, confidence, continuous improvement, etc.) and practices (Continuous Delivery, Infrastructure as Code, You Build It, You Run It, etc.), and how to introduce at your company (The Three Ways, Hiring, Incident Reports, Mean Time To Recovery, etc.). *Talk: Surviving the free ~load test~ day*Alberto Gragera, Head of Engineering at Cabify, will talk about the day Cabify deployed free rides for customers. Even tho they prepared for it for weeks, Cabify was not ready for the massive load received during that day. Alberto will analise the chain of events, what went well and what went grown, and what they have learned for the next free ~load test~ day.
