Wednesday 20 May 2015, 23:30 - Thursday 21 May 2015, 00:30

Humboldt 1550, 3er piso oficina 306, Buenos Aires, Argentina

Hello Docker Buenos Aires! We have not forgotten about you and thanks to the team at Medallia, we are super excited to announce the first of hopefully many more meetups in 2015. We know Buenos Aires has an awesome tech community! See you next week!  6:30 Arrival 7:00 Presentation Microservices using relocatable Docker containers by Mauricio Garavaglia At Medallia we want to use docker everywhere! From our application microservices and databases, to DNS servers. But some caveats are still in place that needs to be worked around. In this talk we are going to share experiences about two challenges we found while migrating our systems to docker containers: How to make docker containers interact with scalable IP networks in a transparent way. And how to achieve storage mobility in a reliable an performant way, allowing to relocate a container seamlessly, having all its stored data at hand. About the Speaker

Mauricio Garavaglia is a Senior Software Engineer at Medallia. Working on the ReArchitecture team, he's helping to herd containers and tame clusters in order to setup the foundations for the next generation infrastructure. As a renaissance man programmer he worked with a variety of technologies, never settling, but always staying on the open source side. Before landing in Medallia he got deployed to several gigs after receiving his Systems Engineering degree at UTN.
