Docker Barcelona - Docker Global Hack Day #3

Join us for the next Docker Global Hack Day from Wednesday, September 16th through Monday, September 21st! We are keen to host a Docker Global Hack Day #3 local version. The plan is to come together on Thursday evening (venue yet to be determined) where we'll form teams of 1-3 persons each, watch the Docker hackathon videos and start working on the projects. On the Saturday it would be great to do a whole day hack - with a venue to be decided. Of course, there are Docker T-Shirts for the participants of the Hackday event!

The Rules for the Docker announcement Page: As a team of 1-3 hackers, you will hack on a project using Docker as the central piece. You will have exactly from 4pm PDT on Wednesday, September 16th to 9am PDT on Monday, September 21st to complete this project. This window includes the time to create all materials needed for your submission. Although it is not allowed to start the project before 4pm PDT on Wednesday, September 16th, we strongly encourage everyone to think about project ideas in advance. We will build a page with all the project ideas for everyone to see what ideas have already been submitted and help participants form teams. Don’t have any ideas, check out the projects from the last DockerCon Hackathon:http://2015.dockercon.com/hackathon Everyone will submit projects in one of three categories listed below: 1) Plugins2) Plumbing - runC, Notary, Libnetwork, etc3) Freestyle - must use features from Docker 1.7 and above. From there, the Docker community will vote on the best hack in two different ways. Local Docker Meetup Winner:A jury composed of the Docker core maintainers will vote for the local edition winners from each Meetup group that organized a local edition of the Docker Global Hack Day. Global Winner:We will build a page with all projects and videos, for the community to vote for the global winner. Voting will be done through social networks (highest number of likes, shares, tweets). Note that Local Docker Meetup winners will be featured at the top of this page. Prize:The Global winning team will be invited to attend DockerCon Europe (DockerCon EU tickets + Hotel Accommodation for every team members).
