Web engineer with more than 10 years of experience as an Internet applications developer. With a BEng. in Telecommunications and a recent MSc. in Software Engineering, I love participating in all kind of projects related to modern web technologies. As a generalist developer, I am focused in the general architecture of a web application, from the back-end (MySQL, MongoDB, PHP, RoR) to the front-end (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, EmberJS, jQuery, Dojo) and to the satellite mobile applications (Android, iOS, Sencha Touch). More often than not, though, it is not the technology stack what makes a product successful but the genuine concept behind it. I am particularly interested in meaningful projects that add value to society, or that serve a well-defined purpose. I love participating in the conception, marketing, promotion and product management activities surrounding an otherwise great web application. During my professional life I have played many different roles that have broaden my view of the software industry: back-end developer, front-end designer, consultant, project manager, team lead, graphics designer, SEO specialist, business intelligence analyst, among them. My current goal: to become a technical project manager, like a software architect or a scrum master.
