FirstView is both a software development company and a content production company that develops immersive 3D, 360, Virtual Reality content and solutions for the hospitality industry. We work with some of the major hotel chains in the world. We are passionate about the travel industry, and really motivated to bring innovation to this industry and build amazing solutions that every hotel in the world end ups using. In the end we are here to help hotels sell more! We live and work between Los Angeles, Miami, Mallorca, and Madrid. And… we are looking for someone that can help us help our lovely clients. Job Description
We are looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include integrate API resources, translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.
Responsibilities
Develop new user-facing features
Build reusable code and libraries for future. (documented!)
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Complete the defined tasks on sprints and find solutions when found issues during the development, to finally get done it.
Skills And Qualifications
Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
Understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
Good understanding of ReactJS, AngularJS, NodeJS, React Native (last one like a plus)
Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, AJAX and knowledge on single page application.
Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image manual and dynamically.
Familiarity with tools such as Sketch, Illustrator or Photoshop.
Knowledge of 3D concepts, frameworks like ThreeJS / BabylonJS to work with WebGL is a plus.
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools with GIT to maintain continuous integration.
Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and team collaboration.
Familiarity with provided development environment on Docker (like plus)
knowledge of Javascript tests like a step in your workflow.
Note: Every front-end developer is expected to have a proficient knowledge of JavaScript, while most front-end developers should know jQuery.
Note: A UI/UX designer is expected to deliver finished resources for the developer to incorporate into the app. However, quite often a front-end web developer needs to make some adjustments following Product Owner indications.
