Software Engineer

The Software Engineer for Floqq’s Engineering Team will have an outstanding opportunity to to be part of an international startup company with offices in Madrid (Spain) and Santiago (Chile). We guarantee that you will make an impact working on a small team with a extremely fast development cycle, driving projects from creation to deployment in few days. We need our engineers to be versatile and always eager to tackle new problems as we continue to push technology forward.

Responsibilities

Code primarily in Python with a NoSQL database.
Build software for large-scale cloud-based solutions that can handle extensive growth in user load.
Participate directly with Floqq’s Product Team to translate functional requirements into detailed system designs.
Troubleshoot software issues.

Skills/Experience Required

One to five years of professional software development experience.
Object-oriented development experience in C++, C# or Java.
Familiarity with one or more dynamic languages (e.g. Ruby or Python) and MVC frameworks (e.g. Ruby on Rails or Django).
NoSQL database experience on a platform such as Cassandra, MongoDB or Google App Engine Datastore.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field/degree.
Independent and goal-oriented. You will be given areas to manage, and need to be able to do it in a deadline driven environment without close supervision.
Fluency in English.
